This week's Newberry College South Carolina Army National Guard Players of the Week are freshman Emely Mejia-Martinez (Gainesville, Ga.) and graduate student Drew Robinson (Lexington).

Mejia-Martinez went 4-0 at 117 pounds in the Trojan Duals at Mount Olive leading the Wolves to a 2-2 record with wins over Greensboro College and Emory and Henry.  She earned a win over  Mallory McDonald of Mount Olive by fall at 1:29 and  Ja`Braisha Lane of Allen by technical fall 10-0.

In his first two starts of the season, Robinson scored a career-best 27 points in a win over Mars Hill and made 13 of 23 shots from the floor for 56%.  Robinson also made 9 of 17 3-point attempts for 53% and 4 of 5 free throws and his seven 3-point field goals against Mars Hill tied his own career high set in 2023 and are the sixth most in Wolves history.
