RECAP: The Newberry men's soccer team endured a tough 1-0 loss to Lincoln Memorial University in a closely contested match. Both teams displayed strong defensive efforts throughout the game, with limited scoring opportunities on either side. LMU managed to find the back of the net in the 70', and despite a strong effort for an equalizer, Newberry was unable to break through.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

Offense came to life in this possession battle in the 39', with Jacob Cotton stopping an LMU attack and making a nice save.

The Wolves fired a header off Ryan Hart a few minutes later (42') that was also kept from the goal.

Starting the second half, back-to-back LMU corners were shut down by the Newberry defense.
