NEWBERRY- The Newberry College field hockey team is set for their South Atlantic Conference (SAC) home opener this Saturday as they will take host to the Saints of Limestone University. 

The Match is set to start at 1:00 p.m.(EST) at Setzler Field.

Scouting the Wolves

• The Wolves enter the weekend with a 2-0 record after defeating two nationally ranked opponents on Labor Day weekend. The Wolves kicked off the weekend beating No.8 Adelphi 4-2. Then to finish the weekend, the Wolves defeated No. 10 Pace 6-3. The Wolves earned the South Atlantic Conference team of the week.
• Junior Forward Tamsin Bangert had a career weekend for the Wolves scoring five goals in two matches including program record four in the Adelphi victory. Bangert earned SAC and NFHCA  National Player of the Week

Scouting the Saints

•  Limestone University field hockey team has been selected to finish seventh in the 2023 South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the league today. This will count as their season opener
• Senior attack Josefina Golppi (Santiago, Chile) and senior goalkeeper Tereza Koprivova (Olesna, Czech Republic) were named SAC Preseason All-Conference.
