NEWBERRY – The Newberry College field hockey team is set to host the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive this Saturday at 2 p.m. at Setzler Field.
 
This Saturday's contest will be the Morgan's Message game as a part of the South Atlantic Conference's Mental Wellness Empowerment Week.
 
Scouting the Wolves

• Newberry enters this weekend with their best start to a season in program history, starting 7-0 with a 4-0 South Atlantic Conference record. The Wolves defeated the Bulldogs of Wingate 6-2 Tuesday night.
• Sophomore forward Emma Westbrook and freshman forward Parker Keeler both had three goals in the Wolves win at Wingate. Junior forward Tamsin Bangert has the team's best 20 points on the season. Bangert had two assists in the 6-2 victory over Wingate.
• Senior Payton Findlay has been making things difficult for opposing offensive attackers. Findlay leads the team with three defensive saves on the season.

Scouting the Trojans

• The Trojans will enter the weekend with a 6-1 record and a 5-0 SAC record. The Trojans only loss came in their season opener at Shippensburg on Labor Day Weekend. The Trojans are coming off a 2-1 victory against the Saints of Limestone Wednesday in Mount Olive.
• In the win over Limestone, junior midfielder Jinte Steenbeeke and sophomore midfielder Nikki Bos scored the goals in the 2-1 win. Freshman forward Rosie Migounoff leads the Trojans with 15 points on the season, scoring six goals and three assists.
