PREVIEW: Men's Soccer Ready to Host No. 11 Limestone in SAC Battle

NEWBERRY – Coming off a 1-0 win over Emory & Henry on Saturday at the Smith Road Complex, the Newberry College men's soccer team (2-1-1) is ready to do battle with the visiting No. 11 Limestone Saints (4-0-1) tomorrow (Sept. 20) at 7 p.m.

Scouting the Wolves:
•    Benji Martinez scored his first goal as a member of the Wolves to ensure a 1-0 victory on Saturday.
•    Goalkeeper Jacob Cotton earned his second clean sheet of the season as he stopped all four shots he faced from the Wasps.
•    Cotton's .80 save percentage is the fourth-best in the South Atlantic Conference, and his 20 saves are tied for the second-most.
•    As a team, the Wolves have given up the fourth-fewest goals in the SAC (5), while also averaging the fourth-most goals offensively (2.25 per game).

Scouting the Saints:
•    Limestone visits Newberry after a 2-0 home victory Saturday over Lenoir-Rhyne.
•    In that game, Claudel N'Goubou scored his team-leading third goal of the season and Bilal Camara scored his second of the year.
•    Collectively, the Saints have scored 13 goals through five games – good for third in the SAC.
•    Goalkeeper Henrik Dahl has let up only three goals thus far, and his 0.60 goals against average is third in the conference.
