WINGATE, N.C.- The Newberry College field hockey team stays undefeated with their 6-2 victory over the Bulldogs of Wingate University Tuesday night.

Parker Keeler both collected a hat trick on the evening. Junior forward
Tamsin Bangert had two assists.

The Wolves got the game started when Keeler put one in the back of the net off the assist of Bangert to put the Wolves up 1-0 with 12:32 left in the opening quarter. With 3:46 left in the first quarter,
Emma Westbrook would score her first of three off the assist from
Parker Keeler to extend the Wolves lead to 2-0.

The Wolves would take a 2-1 lead into the half before the offense would explode scoring three goals in a five-minute span in the third quarter. Westbrook would score the first followed by
Parker Keeler scoring two straight with one coming off an assist from her twin sister Payton to make it 5-1. Westbrook would add her third for the second hat trick of the game to make it 6-2 with 10:22 in the fourth

The Wolves (7-0, 4-0 SAC) will look to keep momentum as they will host the Trojans of Mount Olive Saturday at Setzler Field. That game will be at 2:00 p.m., the Wolves will be hosting their Morgan's Message game Saturday as a part of the SAC's Mental Wellness Empowerment Week.
