Wolves Historic Season Ends in SAC Semifinal Loss to Limestone

NEWBERRY – The Newberry College field hockey team's historic season came to an end with a loss to Limestone 1-0 in the SAC semifinals Friday at Mount Olive.
 
The Wolves entered the semifinals with a bye after gaining a two seed with a 11-3 regular season SAC record.
 
The Wolves finished the season with 14 wins, marking the most wins in program history.
 
The Wolves outshot the Saints 16-4 in the contest, not giving up a single shot in the final three quarters of the game.
 
The Wolves had 17 penalty corners in the match to Limestone's four.
