NEWBERRY – Newberry Field Hockey's sophomore forward
Emma Westbrook's goal with 7:30 mark in the second quarter in the 4-2 win over Coker put her atop of the Newberry Field Hockey record book.
With that Goal, Westbrook moved past Kaitlyn Willard to hold the record for most goals in a season for the Wolves.
"The coaching staff and Emma's teammates are beyond excited to see her success so far this season." Head coach
Hannah Dave said. "Emma has stepped up and proven to be an amazing leader, teammate, and all-around student-athlete, and we are so proud of her. Emma is hungry but humble and will be the first one to tell you that this was a TEAM effort. If you have not watched Emma on the field, you are missing out! She is a fun one to watch."
Westbrook continues to build on the record as she currently has 17 goals so far this season.
The Wolves are back in action this Saturday at 11 a.m. against the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial.
