GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Newberry College Men's golf team shot a three-round score of 866 to finish tied for third at the Bearcat Golf Classic Monday and Tuesday. Newberry finished just five shots behind SAC rival Lincoln Memorial for second place and had a top-three finish for the second straight tournament.
Tom Bueschges led the Wolves, shooting a 211 over the three rounds to finished tied for third. Alex Pillar and Patrick Jacobs each finished tied for 19th, shooting 219. Frederic Ruess and Adrian Villiger both finished tied for 39th with a score of 222 to round out the Wolves' scoring.
Newberry will return to action March 22-23 at the Bobcat hosted by Georgia College.
