NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Newberry College men's tennis team lost 6-1 against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears on Thursday afternoon.
The Wolves only rolled out two doubles pairs and lost both matchups.
Already down 1-0 after doubles play, Newberry only had five players for the singles matchups. Sophomore
Marcel Schomburg was the only Wolves player to win in singles play, winning an intense 1-6, 7-5, 10-8 matchup at third singles. Freshman
Clayton Elder lost in two sets at fifth singles, senior
Ignacio Garcia de Sola lost at third singles and freshman
Enzo Blavignat lost at first singles.

- Schomburg won his second overall singles matchup and leads the team with three overall wins this season.
