Field Hockey Concludes Road Slate Against Limestone

First Meeting with Saints this Season

After dropping back to back heartbreakers in overtime, the Newberry Field Hockey team looks to conclude their road slate on a high note as they face the Limestone Saints for the first time this season. The game is scheduled for 1 PM in Gaffney, S.C.

Storylines
  • Limestone is the only team that Newberry has not faced this season.
  • The Wolves had three different goal scorers in Yasmin De Meyer, Hailey Moore, and Rachel Crowder in Newberry's 4-3 overtime loss to Converse
  • Both teams are averaging just over two goals per game with the Wolves having the slight advantage at 2.46-2.30
  • The Scarlet and Gray also have a slight advantage in goals allowed, 1.62-1.85.
  • Newberry leads the conference with 14 defensive saves, ten more than second place Mount Olive. 
  • The Saints are led by Kelly Diplock who is tied for the SACC lead with 11 goals scored.
  • Limestone has won the last three matchups in the series. The Wolves last win came in 2019 in Gaffney as Newberry prevailed 2-1 in overtime.
  • After this game, the Wolves will return home to Setzler Field to close out the regular season with games against Mount Olive and Limestone.
