Wolves Travel to Queen City to Face Royals

Second to Last Road Trip for Newberry

Newberry, S.C. - After having their four-match winning streak snapped on Saturday against Converse, the Newberry Field Hockey Team looks to rebound as they face the Queens Royals in Charlotte on Wednesday.

Storylines:
  • The Wolves took the last meeting against the Royals, winning 3-2 with a goal by Lily Drury in the 51st minute being the game-winner.
  • Charlotte has been a tough place for the Scarlet and Gray as they are still in search of their first win in the Queen City.
  • Yasmin De Meyer scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season on Saturday in the 2-1 loss to Converse. Her 17 points are good for fifth most in the conference. 
  • Grace Lee is second in the conference in save percentage and is fifth nationally
  • Erin Robbins leads Division II with seven defensive saves.
  • Newberry currently sits fifth in the SACC standings and are currently half a game behind fourth place Mount Olive for the final quarter final host spot.
  • This is the Wolves second to last road game of the season and they will conclude their road slate on Saturday against Limestone before returning to Setzler Field for the final two regular season matches against Mount Olive and Limestone
