HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Newberry men's tennis team was able to edge out Tiffin University Monday afternoon, 4-3, during their Hilton Head spring break trip. 

Ignacio de Sola saved the day for the Wolves as he clinched the victory in the fifth match of singles play. The Wolves found themselves toe to toe with the Dragons, but Sola would pick up the win to give the Wolves their first victory of the Hilton Head trip. Sola comfortably took care of Tiffin's Gabriel De Oliveira 6-3, 6-2. 

The Wolves The Wolves (5-3, 1-0 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas) were able to secure the doubles points with wins from their first, second and third doubles teams. 

No. 27 Ambarzumjan was able to pick up his win in singles action in two sets against Nikita Parfenov after a competitive 6-4 first set. Ambazumjan closed the match in the second set prevailing over Parfenov with another 6-4 win. Luca Kirchoff was able to add another win to his total, defeating Matthew Telford in two sets. Kirchoff was pushed to the limits in the first set but came away with the 6-4 win. The freshman wrapped up the match in the second set with another 6-4 win. 

The Wolves continue match play tomorrow against Mount St. Mary's in Hilton Head, S.C.
