Gaffney, S.C. – Newberry College (2-10) falls to #10 Limestone (7-4) by a score of 4-1 at Saints Field in Gaffney South Carolina.

Newberry’s lone goal was scored by Courtlyn Warren in the second half at the 62:03 minute mark while the Saints scored all four of their goals in the first half. The first goal was at the 3:39 minute mark when Stembeni Zhanda scored off a penalty corner. Jill Funkhouser scored her first goal just a little over a minute later at the 4:43 minute mark off a fast break. Funkhousers second goal came at the 19:14 minute mark off of a penalty corner. Jess Waszczak scored her goal under 10 minutes later to give the Saints the 4-0 lead at half time.

Newberry was led by Courtlyn Warren as she took five shots, three on goal. Kaycie Andrew and Victoria Corriston each had a shot for Newberry. Dakota Elzy and Allison Davis combined for three saves on the night.

The Wolves took seven shots and had nine penalty corners as the Saints took eight shots and also had nine penalty corners.
