GAFFNEY - The Newberry Wolves were shut out for only the second time this season, with the No. 9 Limestone Saints earning a 6-0 win at Timken Field on Wednesday afternoon.

The Wolves were on the defensive for most of the afternoon, as Limestone had a 38 to 7 shot advantage with 26 shots on goal. Morgan Downey (Millersville, Md.) performed well under the pressure, making 20 saves.

Courtlyn Warren (Richmond, Va.) led the Wolves with three shots on goal, while Caitlyn Warren (Richmond, Va.), Kaitlin Willard (Stevensville, Md.) and Carly Lutz (Eldersburg, Md.) each had a shot on goal.

Newberry falls to 0-13 on the season and hosts Mansfield (Pa.) to close the regular season at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at historic Setzler Field.
