BREVARD, N.C. - Chad Domis scored the lone goal of the match early in the first half and Will Dieterich stopped all six of Brevard's shots on goal as the Newberry men's soccer team topped Brevard, 1-0. The win brings Newberry's record up to 4-4-1 on the season.

Domis put in a ball as he was directly in front of the net and sent it skidding to the back of the net. Sammy Siasia dished Domis the ball for the assist.

Will Dieterich was the Indians' netminder and stopped all six of Brevard's shots on goal. It was the first shut out of the Tampa, Fla.-native's season and career.

Newberry next returns to action on Oct. 3 for the first of a five match homestand as the Indians will take on USC Aiken. The action at the Newberry Soccer Complex begins at 4 p.m. and the play-by-play will be brought to you through Newberry's internet radio broadcast, a production of Red Zone Media.
