Box Score MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Ryan Adamski (Graham, N.C./Burlington Williams) scored a pair of goals, but Newberry rallied from a two-goal deficit as host Mount Olive and Newberry played to a 2-2 double overtime tie in non-conference men's soccer Tuesday at Mount Olive. The tie was the third in 11 games for the Trojans this season.
Mount Olive (4-4-3) took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute as Adamski scored from in front of the goal after Warren Atkins' (Silver Spring, Md./J.F. Atkins assisted on Adamski's second goal in the 25th minute, serving into the box to Adamski, who flicked the ball just over the keeper to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead.
Newberry (6-5-1) got on the scoreboard barely a minute later, as Chad Domis scored on a penalty kick after Mount Olive was called for a foul in the box. Domis knotted the game at 2-2 on a goal off of Shawn Liesch's corner kick with 43 seconds left before halftime. Neither team was able to score again in the second half or in the two overtime periods. Mount Olive outshot Newberry 12-10.
