Senior Spotlight: Tony Matos

Due to the cancelation of the rest of the spring season, Newberry College is honoring the seniors from our spring sports who were not able to be recognized on Senior Day.

Tony was a two-year member of the baseball team after transferring in from West Georgia Tech. In his two seasons with the Wolves, Tony played in 44 games and made 18 starts. He finished his career with 21 hits, with 18 runs scored, two doubles, two triples, and 19 RBIs.

Favorite Professional Team(s): Atlanta Braves and Miami Heat

Favorite Team Memory: Doing tarp pull at 6am in the morning while it was 30 degrees with 25mph winds and we almost got swept up in the tarp.

Post Graduation Plans: Will continue my education at the university of North Georgia to finish school and get my teaching degree.
